US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will charge higher fees for the EB-5 immigrant investor programme from 30 November 2026, Caribbean National Weekly reported on 14 October. The change comes from a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) final rule published in the Federal Register on 30 September, which USCIS announced the day before. Any application or petition postmarked on or after 30 November must carry the new fees.

As of 30 September 2026, the rule sets the regional centre investor petition (Form I-526E) at US$7,850 for an initial filing and the standalone investor petition (Form I-526) at US$7,615, both including a US$75 technology fee. As of the same date, the petition to remove conditions on residence (Form I-829) will cost US$5,000. The EB-5 Integrity Fund fee paid with each I-526E rises from US$1,000 to US$1,100 (as of 30 September 2026). Regional centres' annual Integrity Fund fee goes from US$10,000 to US$11,000 for smaller centres and from US$20,000 to US$22,000 for the rest (as of 30 September 2026). DHS estimates that form fees rise by about 70.7% on a weighted average.

USCIS says the fees must cover the full cost of running the programme, as the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022 requires, including processing time goals, audits, site visits and anti-fraud work. The rule finalises a proposal published in October 2025.

The investment amounts do not change. As of October 2026, the minimum remains US$800,000 in a targeted employment area or infrastructure project and US$1,050,000 elsewhere.
